My Father’s Choice

June 8th, 2009

I am in love…

With someone I don’t know…

Whose smile I haven’t seen…

Whose eyes I haven’t stared at…

Whose name I haven’t spoken…

Whose touch I haven’t felt…

I’m in love with someone I haven’t met…

But I’m not afraid…

For I know in that perfect time,

and at that destined place…

I will be led to that one person whose face I only dreamt of…

My father’s choice!

When do you say it’s over?…

May 24th, 2009

When happiness is turned to sorrows?

When much tears are poured out from your eyes?

When it’s hurting you so badly?

When it’s killing the deepest part of you?

When you feel you’re trying to put back broken pieces of you?

When your heart, mind and soul are in it?

When you’re giving your all for the fight?

When hope is by now impossible?

Yet, you want to not to stop and still fight…

And you’ll realize, winning it isn’t only about yours

It is  o v e r…

When someone gives up and says it’s finally over…

God is in Control

January 29th, 2009

We need to hear God is still in Control. We need to hear that life’s mishaps and tragedies are not a reason to bail out. They are simply a reason to sit tight.

Corrie ten Boom used to say, “When the train goes through a tunnel and the world gets dark, do you jump out? Of course not. You sit still and trust the engineer to get you through.”…

Next time you’re disappointed, don’t panic. Don’t jump out. Don’t give up. Just be patient and let God remind you He’s still in control. It ain’t over till it’s over.

r coffee:)

December 24th, 2008

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university lecturer. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said: “If you noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are eyeing each other’s cups.”

Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, but the quality of life doesn’t change.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.”

Don’t let the cups drive you…enjoy the coffee. :-)

How does it like to be humble?

September 29th, 2008

Humility is like reaching the top of the peak, revealing the sweat of hard work and bruises of toughness of the long climb.

-It takes courage and faith to embrace humility, but it paves way to greatness…

Fulfillment is felt when you can truthfully smile and laugh despite difficulties…

It is achieved when these smiles and laughters are able to influence others to do the same…

LOVE or something like that

September 27th, 2008

There’s no such thing as love at first sight, only a heartless reason of expressing one’s need to be loved.

-Love or something like that comes from the heart coupled with common sense…

Words from the Heart

September 23rd, 2008

There are times when you seem to talk about your concerns, problems, happiness, excitements and etc, but can’t find any word to start up a conversation with whom you’re comfortable to talk to and with.

As I was reflecting one quiet evening in our bedroom, visions and images just free flowingly crossed my mind…Little by little I was starting to feel different emotions in response to the different visions in my mind…I didn’t cry nor laugh nor smile, but I could still remember how painful, confused, happy and contented I was.

I didn’t exactly realize that time that I was already confiding to God. I was telling Him the stories I have wanted to tell him of, my everyday stories…Then, I felt the warmest embrace I could possibly experience, assuring me everything will going to be very fine…

Again, not even a word did I utter but it was really a great experience! I was praying to Him, I was communicating with Him more intimately…That made me sleep peacefully and contentedly…

I woke up the next morning with much courage to keep going and very very happy that I was so excited to face the day! To my surprise, all the visions I had that night were real…The very day proved to me that those were the unsaid sentiments and delights…

And what’s more, He really made everything not just very fine but tremendously amazing! (speechless again?hahaha!)…

Truly, God listens…
